Happy 30th Jim

Jim celebrated his 30th birthday on June 8th. (Yes, it's nearly a month later and I'm finally writing.) He is an incredibly generous and patient man, and I am so thankful to walk alongside him in this life.

We decided it would be fun to have some friends over for dinner catered by our lovely friend Debbie, who maintains a cooking site with some fantastic recipes. Debbie created an Indian-inspired feast for 17 of us - from her curry hummus and naan - to her chicken curry with coconut rice. We happily shared our meal while seated on the floor (with pillows) and donning bindi. To top it all of, we finished with the Elvis cake by Sweet 16th, our neighborhood bakery. The Elvis cake is a 2 layer banana cake with peanut butter cream between the layers and chocolate cream cheese icing. That's right.

Overall, it was a sweet evening indeed. Some of our photos are here.
